Since 2006 it has been our passion to create wonderful guest experiences at our own vacation rental properties at Alpine Village Resort in Mara Lake, BC.
It was this passion that prompted us to launch the Guest Book Vacation Rentals โin 2017. We help home owners earn income on their vacation homes by adding their homes into our rental pool. And... we get to be a part of creating memorable vacations that bring our guests back year after year!

We pride ourselves on providing great customer service and communication, provide essential guest amenities and our high standards of cleanliness and proactive property maintenance. Not only do these practices enhance the guest experience, it results in repeat guests and generates referrals, which means consistent revenue for our home owners.

How long does it take to receive my damage deposit refund?Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Once our cleaning staff has inspected the property, as long as there is no damage, damage deposits are refunded within 7 days of departure minus any fees for repairs or replacement. Depending on your banks processing times, it may take 7 business days to reflect on your statement.

When can I cancel my reservation for full refund?If you cancel your reservation more than 31 days of arrival, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, your reservation is non-refundable unless we are able to rebook the property.

What are our Covid-19 Policies and Precautions?Please advise us if you are experiencing any symptoms during your stay or within 2 weeks after your stay. This will allow us to make the proper precautions when we clean after departure and/or inform new guests in the home of any concerns. Although it has been common practice to disinfect all surfaces, our staff are trained in enhanced cleaning protocols and instructed to disinfect all high touch areas; remotes, light switches, door and cupboard handles etc.

How do we list our home with Guest Book Vacation Rentals?Book a free consultation. We will meet with you at your property for initial assessment and make recommendations, based on experience, to help you maximize your revenue potential. Your home must meet certain criteria to be eligible to enter our rental pool. OWNER REQUIREMENTS: We understand the importance of selecting the right property manager to manage your home. We feel the same way about selecting the rental properties that the Guest Book would like to represent, as we wish to maintain a certain standard of quality that we provide our guests. To partner with the Guest Book Vacation Rentals, we require the following from our owners: Well maintained property: carpet, paint and furnishings must be kept in good condition โQuality furnishings and appliances Utilities paid and operating; heat, cable & internet Satisfactory liability Insurance Open communication with The Guest Book regarding owner bookings to avoid double bookings. Owners can log into the Owner Portal of our website to block owner bookings! Maintain inventory requirements such as dishes, cutlery, towels, etc.

What do our property management services include?Contact us and we will send you our Owner Package for detailed information on our fees, policies and more! PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICES: Property assessment and inspection to qualify your home for our rental program. Property Listings on our Property Management and Reservation Software. Additional listings on various 3rd party rental sites such as: VRBO, HomeAway, OwnerDirect, Canada Stays, Flipkey, TripAdvisor, and AirBnB to maximize exposure and bookings. Prepare a Property Guest Book / Guide Strategic marketing and sales activities Setting rental rates (nightly, weekly, monthly) that are calibrated with the region's competitive marketplace. Property maintenance and established relationships with professional trades people. Standardized housekeeping services and semi-annual deep cleans Accounting services that include, but are not limited to, monthly and year end rental revenue statements and GST data if required. Issue owner payments on a monthly basis paid 15 days after month end which is net rental income less expenses and management fees.

What are the local Bylaws?Local Bylaws ***Quiet Time Bylaw between 10 pm and 8 am*** Please be respectful of our neighbors and adhere to the local Quiet Time Bylaw. Complaints from neighbors to our local authority can result in suspending the home owners ability to continue to rent their home. Guest and any additional permitted guests shall refrain from loud noise and shall not disturb, annoy, endanger, or inconvenience neighbors, nor shall Guests use the Property for any immoral, offensive or unlawful purposes, nor violate any law, association rules or ordinance, nor commit waste or nuisance on or about the Property.
